It look kinda sweet. I would like to see one in person. If I did not already get a gomadic cable to link my SE T616 and dell x50v I would have to save up for one. what kind of zoom does it have with the 1.3 megapixel camera?

please answer these questions if you can.
Bought a 50v and since then have souped it up. Now sprint comes out with the PPC-6700 phone pda combo.

question
1) can the ppc 6700 run aps such as sprite back up? epocrates? ilauncer
2) does it come with a stylus?
3) what is the difference b/w windows 2005 pocket pc phone edition versus the one we will get from dell.

I take solace that I only spent 270 dollars on the axim and ppc will be 450 +

thanks in advance for all opinions and replies

also can you use both devices on the same computer, if so how?

Yes, the 6700 will be able to run any standard apps.

Yes, it comes with a stylus.

Phone Edition just means that it's got a few additional applets for PPC phones: a dialing program, signal meter, things like that.

I got mine in the mail today... very slick little unit. Wireless combo works well, although I'm still not sure how evdo will be since it isn't in the area yet. evdo is unbelievably expensive though (+80 a month for unlimited) so it may not even be something that Ill do. For 416mhz its really quick in windows (faster than the x50v), I haven't tried games yet though. wm2005 doesn't seem all that different, other than that aim doesn't work right (bummer). The keypad works pretty well, and its a good thing its on the side, because this thing is TINY compared to what I was expecting. I'm happy with it so far (5 hours, heh)

emulamer, how does one handed operation seem to you? How is the screen compared to the X50v?

I should be getting mine tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to getting this thing.

ActiveSync can support multiple devices. I sync both my hx4705 and i730 on the same PC. Just make sure that you give the partnerships unique names otherwise ActvieSync will establish a guest partnership with one of your devices. Note you cannot sync both devices simultaneously.

I have had great luck selling used PDAs, smartphones, and the like on eBay. The market for electronics is very robust. If you need any tips let me know.

Regarding the question of what I'm going to do with my X50v now that I have a 6700...well I'm not totally sure. The screen is not anywhere near as good as the X50v but certainly good enough since it has other benefits. Maybe I'll use the Dell for my home stereo system since it can hold more memory cards for music and maybe a GPS system again because it has a better display and can hold more data for maps. Bottom line is that Dell needs a PDA phone.
