XV6800 Question
I finally caved on my promise to never buy an integrated PDA phone. Coming from years of stand-alone PDAs and a Blackberry 8703, this is quite a new experience. The phone looks good, but I find the PDA/phone integration confusing....too many buttons....too much tapping to get simple functions.
In the meantime, I can't get the PDA to access other computers on my local subnet. I can authenticate to the WAP, get an IP address and even get to the internet. However, when I try to access a share on another machine (no problem for my X51V or HX4705), I'm told to change my connection settings. Of course, Microsoft doesn't elaborate as to what the change is.
My XV6800 phone is on the Verizon network. Is the WM6 OS modified to prevent local share access using the integrated WiFi adapter? With my stand-alone PDAs, all I have to do is authenticate to the WAP and then to the other computer hosting the share I want to access.
Can someone give me a hand? Thanks in advance.
Jeff
