A few more XV6800 Questions
As I fiddle with my new PDA/phone -- and install various 3rd party applications (like PocketBreeze, etc.), the PDA/phone integration is getting easier to understand. I have a few more questions, however:
  • Is the XV6800 considered a smartphone? I've found that programs compiled for smartphones, don't install on mine. Instead, I have to use the same version installed on my X51V.
  • How do I do 3-way calling and conferencing? I went to the Verizon store today, and they couldn't figure it out. Pressing talk -- like on a normal cell phone -- doesn't place the caller on hold.
  • Would you install FlexMail 2007 on the phone to replace the Pocket Outlook?
  • How about installing WisBar Advance 3 on the phone? I've found it slows my X51V down a bit when installed. I've installed iLauncher 3.1, but it is not quite mature enough to handle taskbar functions as well as WisBar does.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

xv6800
The xv6800 is a pda/phone. It has a touchscreen like the axim.

My understanding is that a smartphone is a device like the motorola q that does not have a touchscreen.

James,

Your answer sounds reasonable. Does anyone have opinion about installing WisBar and FlexMail on the phone? I want to keep down the clutter.

Thanks

wisbar and flexmail....
Don't have any experience with Flexmail, so can't comment.

I have owned Wisbar for awhile and have found it quite useful as a task manager, program launcher, etc.

The previous version used to bog down my pocket pc, but the latest version wisbar advanced 3, doesn't seem to cause any slowdown at all that I've noticed.
