Which WM smartphone should I get?
For years I've been using my trusted good old Axim X51v for everything from organizer and reminder to reading ebooks, playing games, watching videos, listening to music, etc. etc.

But I finally realzied that if I get a smartphone, then I'll have all this PLUS A CELLPHONE! duh!

So now I'm trying to decide which particular smartphone to get?
I need it to have all the following features:
- Windows Mobile based
- have touch screen (and be compatible with most software for Pocket PC)
- the screen size must be not smaller than Axim or any other 'normal' PDA
- have a nice cool or unusual design, a show-off factor that would command attention when noticed
- have very good tech specs, it should be at least as powerful as Axim X51v

What can you suggest?

Your issue is that the Axim is way high on the performance standard and you will not find any converged PPC Phones that meet that spec. Most normal PPCs will not meet that spec.

However, you will not find many better than the AT&T Tilt/8925/TYTN II, which pretty much is the best converged device available today.

For the best suggestion, look to your cell carriers and find the most expensive ones they carry and you will pretty much have your selections

Just one point of clarification.......Smartphones do not have a touch screen. What you want is a Pocket PC that includes a phone function.

If you have cash to burn and don't mind having to use a BT headset to talk, look at the HTC Advantage

The TyTN II is a great touch device (it has a physical slide-out keyboard in landscape mode) but if you want a smartphone format (like the BlackJack for instance) but with Touch then check out the new Palm 850 or the Samsung SGH-i780 - smartphone layout, full QWERTY keyboard on the front and a touch screen (320x320)
