ROM problem, or battery problem?
HELP! I have two problems with my X3:

1. The battery will drain if I don't keep the unit plugged in. It's not the battery, as I bought a replacement and the same thing happens. If I leave it unplugged even for a day, I have to recharge the battery.

2. If I let the power run low, the unit resets itself, i.e. once I charge it back up, the startup screen appears: "tap here to align screen".

The 2 problems combined together means I have to keep my Axim plugged in nearly at all times. Very frustrating. Anyone have a solution? Is this a ROM problem (I haven't tried the upgrade on Dell's site yet), or is it the backup battery?

Thanks for your help.

I didn't get into the Axim scene until the X30 but yeah a backup battery can cause problems. Can you replace your Axes backup battery?
