Odyssey Client Trouble

I have been having trouble with the Odyssey Client program. Several times when I have tried to log-on to the internet, my Axim X3 will give me the message that my Odyssey Client has now expired. When I go to the Odyssey Client program, the status box says it is disabled. To enable it, I need to perform a hard reset. Is this due to some software conflict? Additionally, what is the Odyssey Client needed for?
