Broken Axim 3 base connector needs fixing

Hi,

I seem to have bent or broken some of the pins in the connector at the bottom of my Axim. I can charge it, but it's not syncing anymore from the cradle. Can anyone recommend a reputable company that can fix the connector, as Dell says they don't do repair work.

Thanks.

www.pocketpctechs.com does this kind of work. There are people on AximSite who have had the connector replaced, and they are happy with the work.

if you're still on warranty, you could call up dell cs and say that it bent after being taken out of the cradle

they will send you a new unit

my new unit came with the circuit sync connector as did many other x30 users

Or just say the pins are bent. It's a known problem.

or take a magnifier and some dental picks, even a bent over paperclip might work. I fixed mine myself. Jewelry tools work great.
