can i mechanic on my x3i ?

I just upgraded to a 51v from an X3i. my X3i finally gave up on life after taking much abuse.

It's doing two things. It won't power up unless I twist the frame of the unit. Sometimes, the screen won't respond to touch. Everything else works. Is there any loose connections I can look for, and how would I go about it?

Is there any place where it would be economically feasible to have it fixed? There's a little 13 year old girl I would like to give it to.

I have had the following problems but now it seems to work:
would work sometimes, usually after smacking it on my knee or twisting it.
Inserting headphones guarenteed it would not work.
When i go to enable wireless, the screen flickers and goes crazy.

So anyway i read somewhere that putting electrical tape around the LCD cable will fix it (you will have to open it). So i put taple around the LCD cable and the other one thats not so big. Also, to fix the headphone problem, i put a thick amount of electrical tape on the screen when the Headphone jack is because i noticed that when i moved the jack when the axim was on, it would mess up. I still havent fixed the wireless problem though.
