Axim X3 Screen Issues
First, let me say your website is VERY INFORMATIVE to a Newbie. I will try to make this as short as I can. I have (2) X3's. One has a broken Screen (looks like ink in screen). I broke it after talking to someone at Dell several times about syncronizing and hurling it aginst the wall when no help was given (out of warranty 2-weeks). Anyway after buying another on Ebay that needed a new backup battery (I ordered 5 for extras) I proceded to take the one I had apart and put the bub in the broken one with the one in the one that worked. After removing the screen several times I find it will not work without squeezing it sometimes in different areas. When I relieve the pressure it quits again. I've tried both hard and soft resets. I have cleaned the contact areas but I can't get it to work without squeezing the case-usually sides but sometimes on various places around the screen. The batteries are up . And when I check settings it says the backup battery is working. HELP!

Same trouble
I have the same trouble with an Axim X3i. Have spent long hours disasembling and cleaning. I am sure I have done more damage than good. It is time to buy new/used replacement.

Simple.

The screws relative to where you are squeezing are not in tight enough.

Simply take out the screws on the reverse, blow in the holes and put those screws in there TIGHT.
