I have been having similar problems. I don't know that mine started with or is connected to my blue-tooth keyboard, which works well, but I can not shut off the WiFi. The blue-tooth can be shut off, but if I get near a wireless site (particularly one I can't actually log into but one it recognizes as available), I can not shut if off until I get out of range, and then it will shut off.
I push the button, and it comes up with the little window to shut it down, but no bars come across. I have downloaded the new WLAN control that is recommended to work with AirScanners Firewall, but neither it nor its DELL predecessor will shut it down. I can soft reboot, and it just keeps coming back as soon as I start.
I have to move out of range, then I can shut it off.
I've never had this problem before--it always used to shut off fine. I can close every running program, including the firewall, but it will not shut down if it is in range of any wireless of any time.
