You mean the built in storage?

Have you tried running the latest ROM update? You could also try the SD Flash method.

Someone else's restore won't fix it.

I have had this problem several times. It usually happens when I install software via Activesync with Built-In Storage as the destination. The thing I do to get around it is do repeated soft resets. This usually fixes it, but if you have tried this and it doesn't work, you can try flashing the ROM with the latest update. I did that and it didn't fix it immediately, but after 2-3 soft resets it worked.

The latest is the A02 ROM located at
http://ftp.us.dell.com/utility/R80976.EXE

Run this software on your desktop machine while you're Axim is in its cradle with the DC adapter powering it. It will erase all the data on your Axim and install the latest ROM. Near the end of the update it says it will reset and reformat the flash. This process normally takes several minutes, but when I had my missing built-in storage problem it didn't take long at all, and my built in storage was still missing. I then did about 3-5 soft resets in a row (each time waiting for the today screen to show up) and eventually after one of them there was a long pause (the pause that should have happened after the update) and when the Axim booted, it had built-in storage again.

Good Luck, and I hope this works out for you.
