I have TWO mobile device entries - how to fix?
The battery died on my X3 the other day and when I recharged it, the Axim booted up as if it was brand new. When I synced it, a new screen came up and asked me to "name" the device. Now I have two named devices and I can't get ActiveSync to sync my old info into the Axim. My old device name was Pocket PC and the new one is Axim. All my data is gone because the device is syncing with "Axim" instead of "Pocket PC". I hope I'm making sense because I don't know how else to explain it.
Is there any way for me to delete the profile of "Axim" so that I can get all my data back by syncing to "Pocket PC"?

The same problem happens to me all the time whenever I don't use it for 2 weeks or more. The internal battery dies and wipes all your data. When you try to sync it, the silly ActiveSync doesn't recognise the device and forces you to create a new partnership. It's extremely fustrating because I lost all my data too. I've tried renaming the backup to the new device name but that didn't help. What's the point of taking backups if you can't restore when needed? Isn't there anyone here who know this or at least direct us to where we can get help?

Sure, with the device disconnected from your PC, open the main activesync window. Click File - Delete Partnerships. Then, re-connect your device, and take it through the create partnership wizard, and you should be good to go.
