Random Crashings
I'm not sure if the problem is software or hardware, so I'll post this in both....

I just bought my mother an X3 off of ebay, and it constantly freezes without warning. Sometimes a soft reset fixes it, sometimes it requires a hard reset, and sometimes it takes about 30 different hard resets; it'll even freeze and require a hard reset on the blue screen WHILE the OS is loading.

It has good days and bad days. Yesterday and the day before, I used it all day with few problems; I even used it to record all of my lectures without a problem. Today, however, I can't finish an MP3 without it freezing up

There's a way to update/roll back versions of the PPC OS, right? If so, is it risky/worth the risk? I've done a quick search on the subject but haven't had any significant luck; perhaps I'm not using the appropriate jargon (I'm relatively new to the PPC but am far from novice on the PC, so it's possible my keywords aren't technically accurate)

PLEASE HELP!

Random Crashing
I'm experiencing something of the same problem. When I first got my X3, brand new, i used it daily. Then my job changed and it sat on a shelf for about 18 months. Now, I want to use it again. I've got it working and sync'ing up with my laptop but it crashes when I want to go to the 'next' level of a task. For instance: If i got to my canlendar, everything is o.k., but if I touch on an appointment, to go to a more detailed view, it will either go back to the main screen or go to the 'blue' Dell screen and reboot.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS.....................Greg
