the "mexican blanket of death"???
I have a Axim X3i, which now has a screen that only shows vertical lines. I realized that this may be an LCD problem, but then it hit me that if only the LCD was broken, everything else would work (i.e. sounds, wifi, hard result beeps, etc.) My Axim barely responds to anything. I can't even turn the system off! Doing a hard reset just changes the lines on the screen around, some times...other times, there is absolutely no response. Everything else seems to be dead. I've never dropped it. I merely turned it off, and then back on about an hour later, finding colorful lines. I believe that this is a connection problem. Does anyone know what may be the problem? It would be extremely great to have this fixed since I love this thing with all my heart! haha. okay. Well, if anyone can offer any advice, it is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advanced.

I had a friend who had a similar problem with his palm device.
we ordered a new mobo and just swapped it out. He dropped his in the toilet.
it worked just fine after that.

there are many axim replacement parts on the web, I would suggest contacting them.

goodluck.

Check out replacement sites, but the cost might outweigh the actual value of the unit. Perhaps check out ebay for another gently used model?

That's what I would do!

Good luck, my friend!
