This question is about the Axim X3i. It currently has ROM vA02 on it. A few months ago I had a 1GB Sandisk card that worked beautifully until one night I tried to sync about 700MBs of MP3s to it. When I came back in the morning, the card folders on the card were all garbled and the axim nor an SD reader at work could not read the card. Long story short I got the card on Ebay and it was a knock-off.
Fast forward a few months and I get a new SD card, this time an A-Data. My laptop reads it just fine, but the Axim doesn't mount it as a Storage Card. If the device is asleep and I pop the card in, it wakes up, and if I take it out when it's sleeping it wakes up. When I first put the card in I got the hour-glass sort of thing for like 10 mins, then I rebooted the Axim. It still doesn't see the card and displays that there is not one inserted. When I do the diagnostic reboot of the unit (scroll wheel, contacts, reset method) with the card in and the A02 img file loaded onto the card, I get the following lines on the display:

ther stuff::
UUID Method1 Version = 1
UUID Method1 Variant = 8

I've tried it with the card formatted as both FAT and FAT16.
The unit had the A00 ROM at the time of the SD Card Failure. It was in the cradle hooked to an XP system and I was syncing with Windows Media Player to the SD Card through the Cradle.
Does anyone have any idea how the heck I can get this thing to recognize SD Cards again?
