Replacement Display X3i ?
Help!

I have some dead pixel lines and groups on my X3i. Where can I get a replacement display? $$$ ?

If too many $$$, I'll likely upgrade to the X5

It's not cheap:

Your other alternative would be to get a broken X3i and use the parts from that.

You mean upgrading to X51, right?

You would probably come out ahead by buying a used functional X3i and (hopefully) selling the broken one. I say hopefully as I suspect that most people buying a busted X3 will be after the screen. But if the sync connector is in good shape the motherboard will have some value. (Which reminds me: if you do buy a used X3i make sure you find out from the seller the condition of the sync pins. In fact, a face-face transaction would be best, as that way you can inspect the thing.)

If you end up buying a replacement X3i from ebay i'd be interested in buying your old one for parts assuming the wifi works.

I just found I have the same problem on my X3i One line across the screen and a small one above it. It's obnoxious to look at and it's a great excuse to upgrade (and finally have bluetooth!) but I hate to spend the $$ right now...
