Question X3 SD card disappears at 60% battery

Hey everyone!

My SD card dissapears after the batter falls under 70%. Otherwise my card works fine.
I have A02 installed but i tried all software pathches available from Dell.

With the A01 i had the same problem, and i couldnt even write to the sd.
When moving to A02 (the mirrored flash image that dell doesnt host anymore) the sd card writing problem got fixed, but the disappearing still ocurs whne the battery falls under 70%.

Could this be a hardware problem, if not, what should i do ? (ive been browsing this forum for 3 streight days now)

I recommend formatting the SD card with a card reader (FAT32 format).

Have you tried a different sd card? What brand/capacity is the card you're having problems with? If you have a spare battery try that as well (might be a bad battery). Also, try a card slot cleaner http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=172282

My Axim is brand new, i just bought it from a reseller 3 days ago.
And since id didnt recognize the "Sycron SD 256" card i have, i went to a store and bought a card that got recognized. This is a "PQI 1 Gb" card. Since that is brand new too, i dont think this is a cleaning problem.

If i use the magic keys on my X3, he instantly founds the hard and is looking for the flash image, so this might not be a hardware error. (also, no matter in what state the battery is, the magic keys restart can read from it)

If i plug my device to the AC adapter, the my card gets recognized instantly. (if i remove the ac after the detection, the card works perfectly, until i remove and put back, restart, or power off)
(I also reformatted just now to Fat32 with a card reader, still nothing: tried soft reset, off-on, nothing)

Can you get an exchange from the reseller? It sounds like it might be defective (the Axim I mean). BTW, I know it's new but did you try a hard reset?

Yes, i went to the reseller and will get a new one. I believe the device has a problem with powering up the SD card, but they dont have clue what could be wrong (btw: i tried every reset possible, including updateing the os to A02)

Well at least the vendor is standing behind it. That's the best we can hope for in situations like this.
