x3 hardware puzzle

ok ... no problems with the unit for almost 2 years noe except for a replacement of the power connector at the bottom, which cost 100 bucks ... but, for now, all of a sudden the unit is not powering up for some reason ... i think it may be the battery, because the unit is repeatidly restarting when i place it on external power ... to the point that it reboots and asks to align the screen altogether as if booting up for the first time

... so, what does everyone here think?

Definitely try a new battery.
