X3 screen fading in / out
I am new to the site. I searched to see if there wre any similliar posts like this one, but I have not found one.

I have had the x3 for about 3 - 4 years and now it seems that at times when I run it the screen will fade out a little bit and when wi put some pressure on the left side of the case the screen comes back. When I let go it fades a little. Also, there are times that the x3 works great and other times it does not work as well.

I was wondering if this is something that may have come unplugged inside the case, or if it is the cast that it is dying and suffering from being dropped too many times.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you're no longer under warrenty you can open it up and check how your screen is plugged in. Doesn't seem like it would fade, but it's worth a check. The screen plugs in with a ribbon-like cable. The plug is a little aquard. To unplug you need to pull the sides upward and part of the plug will come up a little bit (a mm maybe..). It pulls up and slightly out I believe. Then you can pull the ribbon out (or in your case make sure it is all the way in). Then slide the sides back down and it should lock it in place. Be careful though.
