Replace the connector

Hi,

The conector on my axim x3, where i connect the cable to syncronize data, has been damaged. I can charge it, but my computer doesn't recognize it, there are a few pins broken.

I contacted dell and they say they don't have the pieces to replace it, so i needed to buy a new one...

Can anyone help me on this? As anyone substitute the piece? Anyone know where i can but the pieces needed? Any guides for this?

It's the piece where you connect your data cable, and it seems fairly easy to replace...

Hi Ibramos,
I know how you feel. I progressively lost pins until i couldn't even charge. Late in 2007 I sent it to APEXLAPTOPS.CO.UK. They took about 10 days to replace the connector and now the X3i is as good as new. Cost £50. The site also offers do-it-yourself connectors if you feel brave.

I used PDASmart.com for my 50v they fixed the unit and took about a week. Check them out, they did good work for me.
