Who has an X3?
One with 31MB?

Can anyone explain to me why, well where is the backup battery?

It says that it has failed.

I got this for £20, someone owned for a while and never used it. Only have the charger for the mains.

I don't use that PDA for a whole lot really, its ment to replace my Acer erm for the basic usage. Um, it may not be worth all the trouble to replace the backup battery.

Any suggestions, like next time purchase a new unit that has the latest OS?

I noticed that the main battery goes down quite quickly, and there are no files on it. Except for a 222KB ocean clip.

All settings are down etc? How did it go from 97% to 92% then to 83%? In just a day and a half? 200MHZ processor.
