Align screen??

When I turn on my Axim X3, a screen comes up and states:

"Tap the target firmly and accurately at each location on the screen. The target will continue to move until the screen is aligned."

I have tapped and tapped, etc, to no avail. Turned on, turned off numerous times. Took out the batter to "break the circuit."

How do I get this off so I can get into it?:shrug :

It sounds like the device did a hard reset and it is now prompting you to reconfigure everything again. When you tap down, does it seem like it's registering the tap (even if inaccurate)? Have you tried removing the screen protector (if there is one installed)?
