X3i SDIO Bluetooth cards
Has anybody had any experience of successful use of an SDIO Bluetooth card?

I bought a Toshiba type 1 card and tried various approaches to get it to work but failed.

If anybody has the Socket card I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer.........

cheers

I'm interested to find out if anybody has tried to get the Bluetooth SD card made for Palms to work on PocketPC, they are usually a lot cheaper and I can't imagine the hardware can be too different as if it was they wouldn't be able to spec it as Bluetooth.

Perhaps try the Toshiba PPC driver as I think Toshiba makes the Palm BT SD card. If I remember correctly, that BT card was released for both platforms at first. Indeed, I think Toshiba has a newer one that does not stick out as far.

(I also posted this for a 19xx user at IpaqHQ.com)

Here is the Toshiba driver for PPC2002. There should be more on the site (maybe one for WM2003) but this is the first one I found.

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/t...WEIGHT&awhit=5

The file is called sd_bluetooth.exe

http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/cont..._bluetooth.exe

You might also need a patch.

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/t...WEIGHT&awhit=1

It is called sdbtinst.zip

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/content/s...2/sdbtinst.zip

I tried this the other day - the PPC2002 toshiba driver doesn't work on WM2003 as best I can tell, and I couldn't find a WM2003 driver for that card... I would agree though that the palm bluetooth card is identical to the older toshiba bluetooth card...

if anyone has any luck, i'd be interested, as here at least the palm cards are about half the price...

I have the Socket Bludetooth SD card. The driver that came on the CD caused a infinite loop on my X3i... the updated driver on Socket's website seems to work fine... I'm still trying to figure out how to do a sync via bluetooth, though...

I have the Socket SDIO card.

I also had NOTHING but problems with the driver that came on the CD. The driver on their website is much better.

I can get my X3i to dial my my cell phone but I'm still trying to figure out how sync via bluetooth...
