dark spots on screen
I just noticed that there is a faint wavy pattern of dark spots at the very bottom of my X3i screen. Does anobody else notice this with their X3i?

Is this a design issue? I am wondering if anybody else has seen this with their unit. Judging by the response, I maybe the only one with this symptom. It may not be visible to most people but I am really sensitive to these things. Plus, its more prominent depending on the angle you view the screen.

I don't notice as much on my X3i as I do on my X5. This is probably because the X3 has a slightly brighter screen. Set to lower brightnesses, the backlight edges become more visible. You'll notice this on any backlit PDA, and it will be more noticeable at different angles (as you mentioned).

Somewhere around here (aximsite) there is a link to a pic showing the 'normal' backlight looking down from the top of the screen. I you find that link, you could compare it to yours and possibly determine if yours is 'normal'.

I have an image on this thread showing the banding on the X5 and a diagram in a second post on the same thread which explains it.
