Same here. I have done countless number of hard resets just to get it working again. The problem is that I would establish a good connection, then after about 30-45 minutes, the connection would fade and I'd have to rescan or renew IP just to re-connect. However, this wouldn't work all the time and sometimes I'd have to do a soft reset or at least turn wireless on and off. At the worse times, it would be unable to detect my IP and lose my wep settings altogether. No matter what I would try (e.g., manually enter IP or delete profile), it would not reconnect. That is when I'd have to do a hard reset and then have it re-detect my signal from scratch. BTW, my SSID is broadcasted and my power save is off.
I am not sure if it's a hardware of software problem. My router is the Netgear 814 which has worked flawlessly with my X5 using a Linksys card. However, when I tried using my brother in law's X3i with the same router, both devices had the same problem with a fading connection. It could be that we both have dud units, I don't know...
