I called Dell, and they said yes to installing on X3i. But they could be wrong. I think they moved Axim state side, because today I called twice and got USA support.

Well, I tried this update.

The first thing that struck me was that the screen, contrary to what the description of the update says, refreshes noticeably slower than before the update.

Also, it takes almost a second for the start menu to pop up after clicking Start.

I didn't like the update. Did a hard reset and restored from a back up.

Thanks for nothing, Dell...

on the contrary I have found the update to actually speed up the display. Especially with Handymenu, PocketInformant, Bejeweled, & the OS as a whole.

There was definitely a speed increase of screen updates for sure, and Wi-Fi connects faster.

Did you have to do a hard reset after the update?

No hard reset necessary. It does a soft reset at the end of installation. I put the patches (not the ....channel 12-14 one, mine is new) and everthing is running smoothly.

Just installed the updates, and the Axim seems more responsive in terms of display and program execution. If only we can get an update to WM2003...

k000,

My ROM version, after the updates, is A00(09100300EN). You can check this at Settings-->System Information. I received my Axim on Nov 24. What does your say?

As for the flashing Wifi blue light, there are currently no patches for it. Maybe someone is working on it hopefully.
