alarm sound
Hi,

Does anyone have a problem with their alarm sound not being loud enough ? I can listen to MP3's using the build in speaker and it's fairly loud. However, if I have an appointment in my calendar I won't hear the alarm if my axim is a few feet away. (I have the sound bar up at full but the alarm is still pretty quiet).

thanks,

sylvestor.

Sylvestor,

Do you have any programs installed that allow you to set the volume? For example, any alarm programs, GPS programs, or music or movie players?

Some of these allow you to set a volume level for just that program, but some actually change the system sound settings.

Check and let me know what you find.

NOT loud enough? I changed every setting I could find to make it as loud and annoying as possible and it shatters windows, I swear. if i'm sleeping and it goes off I wake up FAST, and I've slept through huge things (earthquakes, when I was young my huge boxes of legos falling off shelves and making huge crashing noises).

Maybe its the sound you have picked out?

Hi All,

Thanks for the tips. I can adjust the volume and play windows media player files with fairly loud music. However, the alarm sounds are not very loud. I have the "notify" sound on for "reminders." I have the volume bar set to maximum - 1 notch. I don't think that it is loud enough to hear from 10 feet away. I also am a bit disappointed as the reminder sound I have chosen only lasts a split second. How can I have the alarm keep making a noise for atleast 30 seconds ?

thanks,

sylvestor.
