Where do i get Axim X3i USB Driver windows XP/2000?
I brought my brand new Axim X3i to work without the CD . hoping i could download the driver off dell's un-navigatable website .

seriously . how do they expect their customers to find any driver support?

so i found this website . and i downloaded the "Axim USB Driver" from the "Other Resources->Downloads" section . and the VERSION.TXT says "For Axim 5" and sure enough, it doesn't work with my X3 .. it doesn't even load ..

XP keeps saying "can not find suiteable driver for this device" ...

i'm gonna change my name to Fustrat-o

You should just be able to download and install the latest version of ActiveSync from microsoft. Worked fine for me... I never even took the CD out of the package when I got my X3i since I already had Outlook installed.

Yes, for 2000/XP you should not need any drivers for your Axim. I have both an X5 and an X3i, and did not have to install drivers on either my Win2000 Pro machine or my WinXP Pro machine. Take Tim's advice and just install ActiveSync. It should load everything that you need to sync with Outlook, unless of course if you don't have Outlook already.

Hi, I know this is an old post, but this might help alot of people. When XP detects the USB device, point it to x:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\Drivers and it should install perfectly! Hope this helps!
