activesync after hard reset

Has anyone had difficulty creating the first partnership after a hard reset?

I've even uninstalled activesyn 3.7, and installed the latest 3.7.1 from the microsoft website, still nothing.

I do hear an audible connection/disconnect sound when I plug/unplug the x3 from the sync cable. But I can't get the activesync app to communicate with the x3.

Any help is MUCH appreciated!

Delete the old partnership from your pc and then it should recognize your axim and set up a new partnership.

I've deleted the partnership, and even rebooted the PC... still nothing.

Could you explain in more detail what is happening when you try to connect? That might give a clue to someone as to what is really happening.
