Am I wasting my time with my X3i
I got mine as a gift a few weeks ago..the first time I used the WiFi I saw my network plus a bunch of others around where I live.

Ever since then NOTHING. Hard resets, soft resets...all types of changes. Even called tech support, nothing good came out of that...all they really want is for me to stand next to my router!

So am I wasting my time with the x3i...should I just send it back? Posibble that unit is damage and I should get another one?

I really want to get the wifi working....

We just ordered 2. The WiFi on one was bad.

Dell is sending me a new unit

If you just got it and it isn't working, have them replace it!

Our other one is working PERFECT!!

A second note:

Called tech support, when thru troubleshooting steps (was easy with two - "one works, one doesn't sir..."

They are sending new unit, to be here Monday or Tues (Today is Friday)....

I just checked the Dell site, it has already shipped!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, after 2 support calls i told dell that this was crap! send me another one...arrived at my door today...charged...started...found network with 64-bit wep!

Entered key, and works fine now......so I guess it was bad unit...so I am a happy camper now!
