Another WiFi Problem
I am not able to get my x3i to connect to the internet. I have tried 4 different channels, WEP on and Off, SSID on and off, reset the routher, several soft resets for the axim, MAC addressing is off, I double checked with the WiFi guide to make sure my settings were correct.

I am getting two different problems. One is I can connect but the signal strength is all over the place. Sometimes 50%, sometimes 100% and I am sitting right next to the router. When this happens, it says I am connected to my network but when I try to access any web pages I get the "page cannot be found" message.

The other problem is I can see my network under "Configure Wireless Networks" when I tap on it and tell it to connect it says "connecting" then "Available" and it will not connect.

I was able to set up my x5 w/ the symbol WiFi card w/o any problems. I'm stumped (and tired) my router is a Linksys WRT54G. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Since you had no problem with your X5/Symbol, it's possible you have a defective Axim.

If you know anyone else with an X3, see if they can connect. Or go the other way and take your X3 to a hotspot and see if you can connect with it there.

Call Dell, jump through their hoops, tell them what you've tried and they should send you another PDQ.

Have you ensure that power save is disabled on the Axim?
