Hey,

I have an axim x3 with pocketpc 2003 OS. It has ROM version AOO. Where can i download the latest update and how easy is it to do it?

That is the latest ROM for the X3. Dell has released a couple of updates (available from their download site), but not a full OS upgrade.

I've installed the ROM patch and under Settings > System Information it still says I have ROM Version A00 (09100300EN).

How do I know if it A03 was installed successfully?

There is not an A03 for the X3/X3i. The most current ROM is still A00, which is what you have. The patch you installed is just a patch, not a full upgrade. So it will still be listed as Version A00.

I didn't think the Axim X3 was to A03 yet. Whew, I wasn't losing it.

It is odd though - the latest patch this month does indicate it is A01 but then when you install it, it leaves the firmware version at exactly the same version number - even previous small patches have change the extension if not the A00.

Anyone been able to tell if this has helped at all with wifi and the SD slot?

That is a hardware version number of the Axim X3i. That number changes when there are internal hardware changes from Dell. Either it being a new supplier of parts, a new trace layout, etc...
