Standard X3 battery...
Who here experiences a short PPC lifespan with the included standard X3 battery? I was amazed when after only a minute or two of light use, my X3 basic's battery life began to visibly drop. Not only that, but it drops fairly rapidly. My X3 goes from a "fresh off the charger" 100% down to 99%, 98%, etc. in just minutes.
Bum battery?
Anyone else?
Thanks!

See where it is at after an hour, that will give you a better idea.

take a look at my posts in this thread for results x3i results.

The battery drains slower as it gets lower. Just because the green light says it is charged doesn't mean it is fully.

...but if the battery CP shows 100% AND a green light, shouldn't that mean "fully charged"? I let my Axim get to this state when charging, and this behavior still occurs.
As for letting it drain down, I haven't let it get much below 85% or so before I've slapped it on the charger. It just seems to get there fairly rapidly.

No, the metering on the Axim is likely based on voltage of the Li-ion cells. However, at it's maximum voltage (4.2V), the battery is only at 40-70% of it's full capacity.

Li-ion batteries like to be kept charged. The built-in circuitry will prevent an over charge so the best procedure is to keep it connected to the wall adapter whenever you are not carrying it on your person.

Yeah, that's kinda what I thought. I hate that, but I guess batteries haven't evolved that much over the last few years...in terms of lifespan anyway. I mean, I've pretty much always kept my battery powered PDA's and such connected to the AC when I'm at the desk or at home, etc.
Thanks all!
