I'm not sure what you mean by manually connecting HighTymes. I turn my X3i on, hit the WiFi button and I get no signal until I go into my router and broadcast SSID. I have tried a static IP, Mac address. My be I just didn’t look into this PDA / WiFi thing, I turn on my laptop and bam I’m on line. Yes I do expect it to connect with out having to drop every security setting I have on my router so the X3i can connect. That's kind of pointless to have to go to my desktop and change the router settings when I want to surf on my PDA.
I was on the phone with Dell Tech for over four hours. They offered to swap out but said I can talk to "WiFi tech" first if I want. I chose to talk to WiFi tech. After 45 mins on hold I got disconnected. I tried to call back with the extension the second person gave me and it was a tech extension for printers. So I started from square one on the phone and never got to talk to a human after being on hold for two more hours. At that point I e-mailed tech and asked for a return and a refund. That was Sunday. I got an e-mail yesterday that some one would contact me for a refund/ return. I’m just a little disheartened by the tech end of Dell. Also they over charged me and charged for shipping when it was to be free..
