Anyone seen this error message?

Today after powering it up it froze with a blue DELL start up screen and soft resets would not help it come out. Later on after waiting on that screen a message popped up saying the following:

"Memory error has been detected, Press "contacts button image" to correct the error. If the system does not boot, Press [Power]+[Reset] to clear all data in the main memory and reboot the system."

Hmm I'd say this X3i is dead for sure now wouldn't you say I wonder how well it can withstand de-acceleration against a hard surface ;)

All it's telling you to do is a Hard Reset, not a Hard SmashIt.

As far as answering the question you posit in your Thread Title.........Yes.

That happened to me once on my X5.. the hard reset fixed it. Course I lost a lot of my data because I was attempting to soft reset it before I did a backup...
