Hi everyone!

Since 3 days ago, my X3i (after hard reset) always trys to connect (through modem?!)

(note: not activesync!)

This means, everytime i start my X3i it first says at top of the screen something like "connection couldn't be found" (or something like this, had to translate it from german to english)

Does anyone have an idea, how to "disable" this?

You say "through modem?" but are you sure it isn't attempting to connect via WiFi?

Anyway, I'v found two reasons this happens:

In ActiveSync on the Axim, check Tools, Options, Mobile Schedule (tab) and make sure the "When syncing wirelessly" options are each set to manual.

If you have an email account set to download at regular intervals, it will also try to connect. The solution I found was to select ActiveSync as the account from the Inbox account list when you are not actually connected.

I don't know what it exactly was, i think i have messed up the email accoutn settings, but with your hint i was able to solve the problem!
