Seems to be a new patch out for the X3
Fixes are listed as
1.Random data bytes are being transmitted when the IR baud rate is set to 19200 or 38400 2.Contacts application can't be opened after closed by Switcher Bar on Axim X3 3.Some BT Help file wording. 4.Battery status shows Charging when the battery is removed. 5.Some Power help file wording.

Now I wonder- will this work if you already applied the recent ROM update ?
(Apologies by the way if this has already been posted - I did look round in the X3 forums but I can imagine it might be elsewhere)
