socket sdio wlan card will not link to linksys BEFW11S4. I upgraded firmware on router and axim driver to A01.network status icon shows grey signal not green. router set for infastructure not adhoc.tried with wep on and off with no luck either way. card does not do anything but blink green led light.laptop works fine on router. any help would be appreciated.

I was having the same problems with that card on my ipaq 1945. Did a lot of searching and found many threads about it on the Socket forum. It seems that almost EVERYONE is having problems with this card due to lousy drivers. I have the same router as you and have it set on channel 10, as others on the Socket forums reported having some luck connecting on channels 8-11.

I have recently started using Boingo http://www.boingo.com/download.html and have been able to connect consistently.

If I put my finger on the card then click on connect the card links. Even works with wep and macfiltering. I do not have to leave finger on after connection. Sounds crazy but it works. Also use channel 11 on linksys router.
