I have only had my X3 for a week and when I took it out of the case today the touch screen would respond. I tap to no avail! I have done several soft resets, but it looks like the hardware has failed! any ideas? I di a forum search but came up with zip on this subject.

Do you have a screen protector on? If so, try taking it off.

You didn't smash it why bending down or press up against something or maybe exposed it to very hot weather? If you can't get it to work then call Dell. Try plugging it back on the cradle for a couple hours without touching it and if something happens.

Some guys with a x5 had the same problem as you for awhile and then he dropped it on accident and it started working again, i recommend not trying that,lol.

I had the same problem with my machine, and I did phone Dell, and in the meantime, I dropped the machine( not too hard) and it started working again. I regret buying this machine, the quality is not that great.

The same happen to me after installing a new screen protector. The screen protector got between touch screen and the frame of the Axim. So the Axim though that the screen was pressed all the time.
