A hard reset removes all the programs and settings that you installed after you received the Axim. It returns the Axim to the condition as when you bought it.

Depending when you received your Axim, you have either A00 or A01 ROM. A true ROM upgrade is not erased when you do a hard reset. If you did the ROM update from A00 to A01 it won't get removed. If you did one or more of the patches they are removed.

To find your ROM version go to Start--->Settings--->System---->System Information.

Check with Dell X3 page. That would give you the most updated information on patches, and ROM version.

A01 is current for newly purchased Axim X3i, or someone that got the ROM update before it was pulled. Another Dell mystery WHY!!!!
