Ad Hoc WiFi Network
Would someone please go through the process of setting up an Ad Hoc WiFi network between a WiFi enabled laptop and PocketPC? The pieces seem to be there, I just can't get them talking to each other. From what little I can tell, it would seem both are sending out the beacon signal, but neither is listening.

1. Read the FAQs in the wireless forum. There are some relevant pieces in there.
2. Do a search on ICS and Adhoc.

In summary - you need to firstly ensure that the two devices can see each other from a wifi prespective. They should both be set for adhoc (peer to peer), set to the same channel (on the PC anyway) and have WEP disabled. SSIDs should be the same.

Ensure that you get them seeing each other. The double arrow should appear on the Axim.

Let us know when you get this far, but read the FAQs and some of the search results first. You might save yourself a lot of time in the long run.
