Coffee Fiend

I have had my X3i for about 6 weeks. Everything was great until I put it in the cradle one night. When I put it in the cradle it was off, but then it turned on and the screen had tons of vertical colored lines on it. After a soft reset and hard reset I called Dell to get a new one. No luck. I happen to be in Sweden until July and neither Dell Sweden nor Dell U.S. will get me a new one (I bought it in the U.S.). I could have a friend send me my new one, but that would cost bucks and then I would have to send my old one from here back there- more bucks! What a pain!!! Any ideas? Has anyone else had a screen die after such a short time?

what was the reason dell gave for not sending you a new one? it is still under the warranty.

If you want it sooner than you return to the US in July, you're only course of action is the back-&-forth with your friend. And you need to consider the fact that you are returning in July, if there is any kind of shipping delay (unless you pay for primo shipping), it's possible you might get back here while it's still on it's way to Sweden!
