x3i keeps turning on and looking for internet...?
Well it has been doing this over the last day... I will have it turned off and I will look over and see it on, searching for an internet connection, telling me that it cannot connect. It also happened while I was using the unit a few times last night. And now I put it on the cradle to charge (only connected via USB) and the freakin thing turns on and stays on, wasting all of the charge that it just recieved...

I've done a soft reset... any ideas?

What do mean "turned off"? WLAN radio off or Wireless disabled?

I think Louse means that they've turned off their AXIM, not just the Wifi (radio or disabled), but still to be clarified by Louse.

But Louse, please understand that the AXIM never really turns off. It's always on Standby, so it can notify you of a pending appointment, etc.

So if you have some application, that frequently wants to update itself, such as a weather today screen plug-in like in my case, it will try to communicate, even if the WIFI is Disabled. Changing the application setting (my weather app in this case) resulted in my ceasing to be interrupted with such notices.

The wifi was never on to begin with. I understand that it is never really off, but in closer to what would be considered a sleep mode.

It is coming out of that mode and lighting the screen etc.

If I lived back in the wild west days, instead of carrying a six-gun in my holster, I'd carry a soldering iron. That way, if some smart-aleck cowboy said something like ‘Hey, look. He's carrying a soldering iron!’ and started laughing, and everybody else started laughing, I could just say, ‘That's right, it's a soldering iron. The soldering iron of justice.’ Then everybody would get real quiet and ashamed, because they had made fun of the soldering iron of justice, and I could probably hit them up for a free drink.
