Using Laptop for Wireless Access
Ok, so i can take my laptop every where that i want to but i want to be able to make a wireless connection at a place where none is available. An example: My parents house; they have a wired router with two computers directly plugged up to it. I can plug a ethernet cord right into my computer and instantly access their internet. I have done this many times, but i want to know how to plug my wireless card into my laptop and send out a wireless signal from it to my x3i so that i can access the internet anywhere in their house.
Is this possible?
If it is, please tell me exactly how to do it (settings and everything)

thanks

-andy

ok, so this ad-hoc connection will work like this...

internet > cable modem > router > my laptop > wireless signal to x3i

is that how it works?
is this basically like wireless syncing with an internet connection ?

Bang on. And you need to enable SHARING on the interface facing the router (don't share the wireless interface).
