Asking for advice...
Ok here's the deal. Love my Axim 3xi (aside from the minor annoyances such as the clicking noise, independable wifi, poor sound quality), have no real problem that really limits my use of it but there is a very small smudge imperfection on the lower left center of my screen. It is not moire as far as I know. It almost looks as though there is something like a piece of dust stuck on the back side of the screen or a few pixels are faded. Its very shadowy in appearance. Until you look at it from an angle and then it looks as though there is a small tear in the screen or the screen is much thinner in that area because it becomes much lighter than the rest of the screen. You can't even really tell its there until you use reader (which I just happen to use a lot) and the screen is white and then my eye is drawn to it constantly. Is this reason to send it back? Do they have to take my Axim back and replace it? Should I not worry about it or could it become worse. Has anyone had similar experiences? Thanks for the advice.

They will send you a new one if you call them. Of course they may make yo udo the usual soft and hard reset first. Not that it will help, but that is about the extent of knowledge for the tech support.

yep been there done that with my wireless problems. Come to think about it the fact that I have to push connect 15 times on average to connect to a access point at 100% is enough for a replacement. Wish me luck.

you know that is pretty pathetic tech support, i know this topic has been beat to death but think of the money dell would actually save if they just kept updated and intelligent tech persons. How many axims did they replace simply because the tech support guy didn't say "you know just keep hitting connect a couple times and see if that works" or even "well actually all the axims exhibit a bit of hissing when playing mp3's we are working on a patch to fix this in the future". I mean come on, lie to me, idont care just say something besides do a hard reset. They are completely missing axim street smarts. i doubt they have even seen one in real life! Anyway i called and a new one is on the way. thanks for the advice

For the ckicking noise you can disable it.

Go to start/settings/ sounds and notifications. To enable/disable clicking sounds check off "Hardware Buttons" and then decide on loud or soft.

I was wondering if the Windows Media Player 9 on my Axim X3 can be upgraded to Windows Media Player 10?
