My keyboard died...please help!!
Well, after being impressed by the Dell KB for the X5 I bought one from another Aximsite user for my X3i. I received it, installed the drivers from the Dell website and everything worked perfectly for a few weeks or more.

NOW, I plug it in and the keyboard doesn't respond whatsoever. I have reset my Axim numerous times, re-installed the drivers, uninstalled and then installed again, reset the Axim some more, used a different Dell KB driver I found and still....NOTHING!

I am extremely confused and would be more than impressed if a brilliant Aximsit'er' has the answer for me. Please help.

Thanks

hmmm, I had that problem briefly a couple of times, but on soft-reseting the device it went away...

The soft reset thing seemed to be the answer for almost everyone. When I searched about the problem that is the only solution I could find. I am starting to think that a program that I installed may be messing with it. The problem is I can't think of any that I installed recently! It is pretty frustrating to say the least. As far as I can tell the keyboard is in perfect condition and it seems to fit the Axim port just fine.

Is it worth a hard reset?!!? Any thoughts...

I had this problem on my brand new KB, and was instructed by Dell to do a hard reset.

Haven't had any trouble since.

Good Luck,

That is what I feared someone would say!!

Ok, I guess that is the last option.

Thanks.
