xanga sites??
i usually read a lot of my friends xanga sites on my desktop (xanga is like an internet diary open to the public)...i added one of their sites to my mobile favorites and tried to open it on my x3i....well it started to load and i could see a little bit of the information, but before it got fully loaded up, the whole internet explorer completely closed down..didnt minimize or anything...completely closed down. i tried to access the same site again, same thing happened.. plz help, i love to read their xangas..

Ok I loaded the following site, and had no problem. http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=krzyxhannah The only thing different is that I use PiePlus 1.2 which formats pages for the pocket PC. I don't think that would make a difference. After loading that page I went from page to page no problems seen.

Hey, I have the same problem. My work-around is to stop the loading just before you think it's gonna close on you. I find that this works pretty well. Usually, when you have the center column with the entries up, you can tap the X button.

BTW, I've started a Handhelds Usergroup Xanga blogring so you can see different people who use PDAs. Check it out here

Reviving a old post...
can someone please look at the code to figure out what causes the crash?
Is there a fix? I thought it was css but css works slow but fine... java perhaps? I just know the title turns to squares and goes up or down and exits....

Uh... guess thats the best option then but can you tell me whats different in the footer of Xanga sites that crashes pocketpcs? I know its the part after the [/table] (dont know if aximsite will use as code so using [] instead of <>) thing. If you copy all the stuff after the /table and put it in a htm you have a really nice script that crashes pie.

If you open or attempt to open your xanga in pie does it cause it to crash?

Im trying out PiePlus 1.2 but there are still many that causes PIE to crash.. I am beginning to fear the [][][][][][][][] things I see at the top before it crashes. I tried disabling script but that didnt do anything.. ideas on fixes?

This problem only effects certain xanga sites. I'm not sure what the contributing factor is. Maybe it's the music module.

I've been using ftxPBrowser instead of PIE for those sites that give me trouble. You can find it here: http://park15.wakwak.com/~ftx/index_e.html

It's not the music. I tried on my site which has no music and it still crashes.

Netfront, while not free is another option that works with no problems.
