That is a tough question to answer since your question is a little vague.

DHCP is a type of Server that hands out addresses. It either exists on a Computer somewhere in your network, or you can have a Router act as a DHCP server and hand out addresses.

If you are talking about the X3 using DHCP, then you need to go to Start > Settings > and the last tab Connections Find your adapter in the list and tap it with the Stylus. You will see two choices one being "Use server assigned IP Address" Make sure that this is selected and you can be sure that you are using DHCP with that adapter

I answered the following in the other thread before realizing you'd cross-posted. That's not allowed here so please don't do it any more.

The DHCP is enabled by default on both the PPC and routers. If your Axim finds an open network, it asks for and, if things are working properly, receives an IP number for the network. Check the WiFi how-to linked from my signature for more details about WiFi networks.
