Fried Axim
Well anyway my x3i lasted a whole 3 months. I went to turn on the wi-fi this evening and it would not come on....so I did a soft reset and it would not leave the splash screen. So I said to myself, "You have a full backup. Just do a hard reset". Same thing. Won't leave the splash screen. Power button won't work. Took the battery out and put back in. No go. I am stuck with a blue splash screen on an x3i that won't turn off. Got a refurb unit on the way.....yipee. Really sucks to spend so much time personalizing something, tweaking it and perfecting it just to have it crap the bed. If anyone has had this happen and come out of it.....please, please help me. Thanks.

Peace,

Rob Bond

I feel like I should hold a memorial service for my Axim. Say a few good words and shed some tears. It's really amazing how attached you can become to an inanimate object. I guess when you try to store your whole life in a little electric box, it's bound to happen. I'm in a really bad mood over this by the way. LOL

Peace,

Hey deft,

The link explains why you love America. Great site by the way. But how does that explain your love for the Axim? Thanks much for your thoughts and prayers my friend. I will be sharing that link with a lot of people.

Peace,

Your X3i has a rechargable but not removable backup battery. When you removed the main battery, did you leave the Axim on for long enough for the backup battery to run completely flat ? If not, then it would be worth a try, to achieve the same effect as a hard reset.

Anyway.....I got my refurb unit and it looks brand new and it even has the latest ROM version on it. Been 4 days now and so far so good. The sensitivity of the touch screen is also much better on this one. I am hoping for the best. Sure wish they would have sent me one of the new x30's by mistake.

Peace,

Rob Bond
