Secure Digital Memory cards and the X3i
I've noticed that there are not too many reporters of sd card trouble at the SD Trouble Guide on the Axim X3i. Is this because there are less people with problems with the problem branbs or is it because people are just not bothering to report them as they are well reported under the Axim X5?

Personally I bought a Japanese Lexar card because of the trouble reports and the X3i was relatively new when I bought so I just thought the lack of reports was caused by that.

How many of you with Dell Axim X3i's have sd memory card troubles? I am not referring to the few X3's that have problems with any and all cards.

Thanks!

My SD Card is not showing up.. I don't have another SD Card to try it out, so, I don't know if it's the SD Card or the Axim 3i that's causing the problem

Have notified both Dell and ScanDisk with both asking if I've tried using another card

Scan Disk Card works perfectly well in my digital camera

Just got a Lexar 256MB card, put it in my x3i, and nothing... Tried it in a USB2.0 card reader - got continuous messages that the device had been removed(?) unsafely (maybe 20 dialogs b4 i could remove the card), came here and here we are...

Problem is - the card reader is new also ... tried it in several computers - seems fine until i add the Lexar 256.

I have no other card to test, but will be taking this one back next week to trade for a different one. I <b>will</b> report back when i get the new one. I expressly went out for the Lexar, because they were mentioned as one that works <somewhere on these forums>

any got ideas? - Thanks - Tom

Follow up - replaced the Lexar 256M with a PNY 256M and it worked everywhere - Guess the problem was with the Lexar.

I would like to suggest that folks buy their SD cards in person at a store, so they can take them back. They seem a little flaky for virtual shopping right now.

Have fun - Tom
